No! Stage 1 of FairDutch is 100% offline-first. All database records are stored locally on your mobile device in a secure SQLite database (fairdutch.db). You can use all features offline with zero internet connection.

Instead of every debtor paying every creditor directly (which creates messy multi-transfers), FairDutch uses a practical net-balance solver to calculate the absolute minimum number of payment transfers required to bring everyone back to zero.

Yes! The Food & Mess Manager allows daily logging of Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner per roommate. At month-end, the total food bill is split proportionally according to actual meal participation.

Go to More → Export Backup. You can instantly export a complete JSON database backup file of all your flats, members, expenses, and tasks to share or save safely.

Yes! Stage 2 by Sarnit Infotech will introduce an optional Laravel cloud sync engine so flatmates can sync data across multiple phones when connected to internet, while keeping full offline capability when disconnected.
